Labor Day Activity!

Early this morning Ken, Q, and I hiked up to Doughnut Falls in Big Cottonwood Canyon. It was a nice hike--v. refreshing and lovely. But mostly it made me want to spend the rest of the day . . . eating doughnuts.

So that's what I have on my Labor Day agenda.

Hope your holiday is a pleasant one.

I plan to honor the laboring men and women of America's history by going to the movies, like a sensible person. I only wish that they had doughnuts at the movies, because now that you mention them...I would like one, please. Also, some french fries, while we're having fried food.

No doughnuts on my agenda. Just a sanded down deck, a tin of wood stain and a paint brush. True labour day!

I thought Doughnut Falls had been closed to the public. If it's open again I would love to take my kids on that hike. I loved that one as a kid. And just think. That hiking means you can reward yourself with a doughnut because it all comes out even. :)

I had Seaside Doughnuts in Newport Beach over the weekend. No hiking involved, but dodging the crazy traffic burned a few calories.

I road my bike 25.6 miles. Before that I had two fried eggs. Eggs my neighbor brought over. Apparently I am a bad neighbor since they put salmonella in those guys.

Post 25.6 miles my body was very angry at those fried eggs.

Shoulda had a doughnut.

So, I tried to take Julie to a Thai restaurant that everyone had been raving about here in Greenville...and it was closed on Labor Day. Apparently, only Thai people take Labor Day off here. But, it turned out ok. We found another one that was delicious.
