I've done this more than once this week . . .

. . . driven to Backer's Bakery to buy a cupcake. And remembered as soon as I got there that they've "gone fishin'" until the end of this month. So then I have to say dammit and drive away u.n.s.a.t.i.s.f.i.e.d.

The concept of Groundhog's Day is more entertaining when it's not your actual life.

Listen, the fault lies not in yourself but in that damn bakery. What business do they have, running off (or R-U-N-N-O-F-T-ing) for a critical month in the summer when their clients may be in dire need of a cupcake? so they can write, or whatever? A bakery is kind of like a medical professional in this regard. They need to provide a back up.

Tell Obama to elect a Cupcake Czar. I don't think Congress is doing anything, maybe they should look into the matter.

Maybe have Palin give a speech about the poor "Carol-don't-got-a-Cupcake's" in the world. If there's a Joe Six-Pack, there should definitely be a Carol-don't-got-a-cupcake.

Maybe get Schwarzenegger to define cupcake companies that go on a hiatus as "Non-Eco-Friendly." Then you could get government grants to hire illegal citizens to do jobs that "Americans don't want to do." Like make cupcakes for poor, cupcake starving people like yourself.

I'm ready to vote on it. Just type up a 3,000 page document and tell the senate that the world will implode if we don't pass cupcake legislation. Don't worry, they won't bother to read it. It just makes sense for the economy.
