watch a re-run of the cybill show. in the middle of the day. on lifeline. wherein cybill is feeling worthless. while you're feeling a little worthless too.
may I just say . . . that I noticed Cybill was on at midnight, after two episodes of Frasier and then two episodes of Will and Grace . . . and I thought to myself, you know, there may come a time that I really need that episode of Cybill at midnight, because sometimes, you just need a sitcom at midnight. Or at least I do. And that story? makes me just a little sad, too.
There's a new six episode series on Hulu called "Kingdom" starring Stephen Fry. He's a lawyer in a small English town. It's well-written and the acting is superb.
Never watch Cybill when feeling down, only Golden Girls, or perhaps a little Matlock. These are the golden rules of daytime tv. When I was a teenager, I used to love me some Matlock on a summer afternoon. I'm confessing this embearassing fact in the hope that it helps cheer you up.

hmmmm. You should watch So You think You Can Dance tonight and tomorrow. It always makes me laugh, and it's got to better than Cybil.
sad! watching five episodes of Big love in a row is what makes me super depressed.

Just mentioning cybille dimmed the lights for me.
Were there snacks involved? I don't do depressing without gut-busting junkfood! ;)
