Wait. IT'S TUESDAY?

I meant to blog yesterday.  I promise I did.  But then I started eating doughnuts and crying and eating doughnuts and crying some more.

Naw.  It wasn't that bad.  But the day managed to slide by w/o me living up to my sacred vow of daily blogging.  See how badly I suffer from Oppositional Defiance Disorder?  I never do what people tell me to do.  Even if it's myself telling me what to do something I actually want to do.

Anyway.  Here's a column I wrote about Christie Brinkley posing in a bathing suit on the cover of People Magazine for her 60th birthday.  In case you haven't seen them, there are also recent pictures of Jane Seymour posing on a beach in a bikini, proving to one and all that you can look like all that when you're 62.

Unless, of course, you hide in your house eating doughnuts all day.

Christie Brinkley's whole life has been about looking good. I suspect that takes its own kind of toll.

well, yesterday I *thought* about eating doughnuts and *wished* for doughnuts and thought, *wouldn't it be great if I could eat some doughnuts*? but instead I built my ePortfolio. I hope the doughnuts were good, because sometimes we just need the doughnuts, and then the next day we can blog.

p.s. that picture of Christie Brinkley on the magazine just annoys me. just put your jeans on like the rest of us, CB. quit it with the bathing suit in my grocery store, where I *should* have bought some doughnuts.

I found the comments on your column amusing, both on the website and on Facebook. People should get over themselves. I am always impressed by your ability either to ignore or to respond respectfully to people I feel deserve a dope slap and a reading lesson because they missed the point entirely (and not because it wasn't made quite clearly).
