Because Sara Z said

Sara periodically mentions I oughta link to my d-news column every Monday. Or Tuesday if I forget to on Monday. So I'm going to give it a try.

Meanwhile I'll try to remember what I wanted to say about obituary pictures . . .

Here is the column.

Sara Z is absolutely correct on this point. I really like this. Just a tiny little click, and there it is: your column! Which is beautiful--those tiny bits of shell, and remembering your grandmother through that little act. Really lovely.

The horror, though! of living on french bread and salami! What about your basic food groups? Such as the crunchy group, which contains both peanut M&Ms and potato chips? And vegetables/fruits blah blah blah we all failed to die of scurvy and whatnot. Now I am scared of certain northerly nations and their (bears, come on we all know it's TRUE!) possible malnutritive dangers.

I'm really glad Sara Z requested that, because this is one of my favorites.

Thank you , Sara Z....because I am lazy, and before I would come here and then search for your column separately. Now, all I have to do is go to one place.

If you could also figure out a way that I could click and have my revisions completed, that would make my life even better.

Ann, thanks for posting that. I only get to read your column when you link to them in your blog or they are posted on the back door in receiving:-)

I wonder how your grandma would feel about smart phones, since getting my Ipod touch I have what Chris calls apple OCD because I can't stand all the fingerprints on it (yes they are mine but it's not good when the screen looks like a ten-card!) but can't bring myself to use washing up liquid and water on the screen like I do on my glasses because well how waterproof is it?? I don't want to find out.

You should definitely link to your article every week. I liked this article. It reminded me of a Simpson's episode because it started at one place and ended at a totally different place. But mainly I liked it because it was so sweet :)

Thank you, Lisa B. for making just the right comment. I want to plagiarize it.

I love Sara Z. She's exactly right. Can we start a Sara Z fan club?

I have always loved your columns because they usually start at point A and end up at point 1,000,000 - not even in the same stratosphere as the beginning, but SO satisfying nevertheless. Sorta stream of conscious writing that you understand.

Love you AND Sara Z.
