This has nothing to do with anything, but I've just been thinking about my father tonight and how he has always called cities by their nicknames. L.A., Vegas, Philly, Cincy, Frisco. Dude's clearly an honorary member of the Rat Pack. Another thing to love about him.

Yes, THE Coach. I cried his last year when BYU came back to beat Utah. They didn't want their coach to end with a losing season. I didn't want him to either. I was surprised at my emotion, but I think it was appropriate. A living legend. And I'm so glad to know, a great dad too.
I've always wanted to date Lavell.
It's friendly, like he knows them and their athletes, so he's not bound to use the formal name.
