Please
Search out each small thing
as you rise above it all tonight--
the sleeping bees
the lilac buds
the cat in a basket on our porch
the pigeons tucked beneath the eaves
My husband and I lying anxious on our bed--
Find us all and flood us with your
beautiful, beautiful light.

Beautiful, Ann. It does seem like it will be the small things that pull us through this.
This one. They're all lovely--but this one. Sigh.
I love this poem! A full moon last night and this morning. It’s still dark right now. Before I went to bed last night I specifically went outside to see it. It was high in the eastern sky. This morning I woke at 4:00 AM (5:00 really because of turning clocks back) and went downstairs to the bathroom. Through the small basement window covered with transparent privacy vinyl with a quilt block pattern, the moon shone in like a spotlight! It was stunning! I’m going outside to look at it now. At 5:38 AM.
