SLJ recently reviewed LOSER. It was a decent review, but here's the deal. When the reviewer said the book is "clean," he/she sort of made it sound like a perjorative.
I guess it's better than calling it 'dirty' in a pejorative kind of way. I can't imagine how difficult it muse be to read someone's review of your book. Critics can say whatever they want, and not know what kind of personal effect it has on the review-ee. Mleh. I don't like it.
